Scouting Strong in Pembroke since 1938!

We are the Scouts BSA of Pembroke NH.  We meet most Wednesday evenings when schools are in session, from 6:30 - 8:00 at the First Congregational Church, 301 Pembroke Street, Pembroke NH.  We are an active youth led Troop, we own our own campsite near Bear Brook State Park.  We have a trailer and lots of gear including canoes.  We have many motivated adults with exciting merit badge opportunities.  As a linked Troop, we welcome all boys and girls ages 11-17 to join our adventures!

Troopland this weekend 4/1/23 - 4/2/23

Posted by admin on Mar 27 2023 - 3:51pm

Another reminder about this weekend's campout at Troopland.  Be prepared... the snow is still melting however bring a tarp or groundcloth for underneath your tent, as the ground might still be a bit soggy.  Arrival at Troopland is 1:00PM on Saturday 4/1 and checkout is 9:00AM on Sunday 4/2.  Take a few moments to review (and bring) your Scout Handbook to check for any requirements you can be working on or even completing over the weekend.  Weather currently looks rainy but as always a Scout is Prepared.  To ensure we can contact everyone who is going in the event things change (cancellation due to weather or anticipated attendance or any unanticipated time changes), please take a moment to either sign up on the website or let Mr/Mrs P know at the meeting this week.  If plans change we will contact all who registered to participate in the weekend, with any updates.

A quick update with thanks for the support from the Troop and fellow Scouters, Mr and Mrs P completed their Wood Badge tickets on course 11-330-22 and received their beads at a dinner 3/25/23.  His critter is a Bear and hers is a Bobwhite but somehow it still works.  The next course is scheduled for May-June 2024.  To learn more about Wood Badge or to register for course 11-330-24, click here: https://nhscouting.org/events/wood-badge-weekend-1-3/

With the announcement of just a two hour delay for Pembroke schools, we will have our regular Scout meeting as planned.  If you do not currently hold a youth leadership position, this meeting is still for YOU!  Youth elections need to be put on the calendar (current youth leaders please remember to include this in your plan).  For the sake of holding an interactive inclusive evening, many if not all of you will be assigned a youth leadership role for this meeting.  Everybody attends, everybody participates!
